In keeping with my theme lately of bad girls of history, here’s an excellent blog post (by a writer named Mike Dash) on a female serial poisoner from 17th century Rome who specialized in helping women escape their loveless marriages. Dash does an excellent job getting beyond the rumors to the strange truth behind Giulia Tofana, one of the most notorious poisoners in history.
